Mersey Valley vintage club cheddar was created over 35 years ago, and is named after the fertile farmlands of the Mersey Valley region, in Tasmania’s unspoilt Cradle Country.
Sharp and crumbly with unique melt in your mouth texture, Mersey Valley vintage club cheddar will have you hooked from that first bite. As well as the popular Original and Classic styles, Mersey Valley lovers are spoilt for choice when it comes to flavour because there are also several delicious flavoured varieties such as Peppercorn, Pickled Onion and Ploughmans to experience.
Mersey Valley Classic
Mersey Valley Classic has an extra strong bite, which is balanced with a crumbly melt-in your mouth texture. Mersey Valley Classic is a very versatile cheese that is perfect for a platter, as a snacking cheese or for use in cooking.
Mersey Valley Peppercorn
Mersey Valley Peppercorn has the creaminess and bite of Mersey Valley, speckled with black peppercorn pieces. Serve with sourdough or grainy bread, sliced meats, pickled onions and tomatoes.
Mersey Valley Original Vintage
Mersey Valley Original has the delightful textural qualities of our Classic, with a more mild flavour. Add a little shaved Mersey Valley Original to salads, pizzas, risotto or pasta; use in savoury baked breads, scones and muffins or melt over steak.
Mersey Valley Ploughmans
A unique blend of Mersey Valley Classic with a rich savoury flavour that really packs a punch. Serve as part of a ploughmans platter with sliced meats, tomatoes, gherkins, grainy bread and beer!
Mersey Valley Pickled Onion
A flavoursome combo of Mersey Valley Original with the lively addition of pickled onion. This variety is made with brown pickled onions which are produced 25 minutes down the road from the Mersey Valley cheese factory! This product is so unique that occasionally it’s out of stock in retailers, due to the fact we have to wait for the onions to pickle.
